About The Position

Southern Lumber & Millwork is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join their Windows & Doors Distribution Center in Charleston, SC. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and operational excellence. The role involves receiving, storing, staging, and delivering windows, doors, and building materials accurately and efficiently to support builders, contractors, and homeowners in the Charleston area. The company operates Monday through Friday, allowing employees to enjoy evenings, weekends, and holidays off.

Requirements

  • Must follow all OSHA policies and procedures
  • Ability to consistently lift, move, and unload materials weighing 80+ pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unload, and store windows, doors, and building materials
  • Verify quantities and inspect products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
  • Safely load, unload, move, stage, and secure materials for delivery
  • Prepare and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management and inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse
  • Maintain organized storage locations and warehouse organization standards
  • Support daily shipping and receiving operations
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing materials within the distribution center
  • Ensure products are properly packaged, protected, and staged for delivery
  • Assist with order fulfillment and distribution activities
  • Communicate inventory or product issues before they impact customers or deliveries
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Perform routine condition checks on materials and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Help ensure products are handled properly to prevent damage and maintain quality standards
