Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Excellent history of attendance and on time performance.

  • Maintain current certifications for shipping and forklift operation (if applicable.)

Responsibilities

  • Accepts deliveries from the carriers.
  • Identifies discrepant deliveries and notifies Inventory Management.
  • Accurately checks material into the operating system.
  • Identifies the correct location for storage (including items with special conditions) and shelves material.
  • Reviews pick slips for problems.
  • Pulls inventory and documentation according to the information on the pickslip.
  • Reviews the pick slip against the inventory and other documents associated with the order (if applicable) to ensure consistency.
  • Notifies customer service and inventory management of problems with shipments.
  • Ensures that outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
  • Prepares shipping documents, bills of lading and air-bills for outgoing shipments.
  • Follows required procedures for shipping of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain current certifications for shipping and forklift operation (if applicable.)
  • Do not perform activities above and beyond their certifications.
  • Reports nonconforming material to Inventory Management. Disposes of nonconforming as instructed by Inventory Management.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and presents recommendations to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties to AS/ISO and applicable Accounting procedures and regulations.
