About The Position

Stericycle is now part of WM. The Warehouse Associate role receives inbound materials, segregates and loads paper into paper shredders, performs equipment maintenance, loads and unloads vehicles, performs general housekeeping, and processes material for treatment. This role also assembles mail-back and other product kits. The position operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. The pay rate is $26.76 per hour, paid weekly, with a shift of Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of work experience, preferably in a plant/warehouse environment with a safety focus.
  • 6 months experience as a certified forklift driver and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles mail back and other product kits according to established procedures.
  • Picks kits and stock items from printed pick list to fulfill customer orders.
  • Packs orders for shipment to insure efficient use of materials and safety of items in transit.
  • Unloads, inspects, and reports status of inbound materials.
  • Stocks pick and rack locations to meet projected demand requirements.
  • Provides feedback to management on ways to increase efficiencies and the effectiveness of servicing customer needs.
  • Participates in process improvement activities (LEAN).
  • Unloads shredded paper, media, and product from Shred-it’s trucks at the assigned branch nightly.
  • Reload trucks with specific equipment needed for the next day’s assignment.
  • Operates and maintains baling machinery at the branch.
  • Ensures all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
  • Performs shredding operations in support of Shred-it’s off-site shredding program.
  • Safeguards plant hardware and equipment by locking and activating security systems.
  • Operates forklifts and performs preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working area according to Shred-It and NAID standards.
  • Ensures that all truck compartments and cabs are cleaned nightly in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Performs weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintains supplies for plant operations.
  • Works toward achieving maximum efficiencies in an established work environment while maintaining safety & compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Performs physical inventory counts.
  • Performs necessary record keeping activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Demonstrates the ability to observe safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and dolly.
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive equipment in close quarters.
