About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join their team. The role involves accurately selecting, verifying, packing, and preparing machined products for shipment. Responsibilities include operating powered narrow-aisle pickers, practicing safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The associate will also collaborate with other departments as needed. This position requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in basic math and clear communication; able to read and comprehend instructions in English and accurately complete simple logs and reports.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and general computer use.
  • Able to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and calculate square feet or inches; organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment for part of the shift.
  • Effective collaboration and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours; adherence to timekeeping and all company policies.
  • Consistently able to stand for an entire shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
  • Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
  • Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
  • Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.
