About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join their team. The role involves accurately selecting, verifying, packing, and preparing machined products for shipment. Responsibilities include operating powered narrow-aisle pickers, practicing safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The associate will also collaborate with other departments as needed. This position requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

Proficiency in basic math and clear communication; able to read and comprehend instructions in English and accurately complete simple logs and reports.
Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads).
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and general computer use.
Able to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and calculate square feet or inches; organized with excellent attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment for part of the shift.
Effective collaboration and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours; adherence to timekeeping and all company policies.
Consistently able to stand for an entire shift.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.
