About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in outbound shipping operations to select and prepare merchandise for store orders. Warehouse employees work in ambient and temperature-controlled areas, including refrigerator and freezer environments. The role includes comprehensive training and safety programming. The position is full-time, averaging 30–35 hours per week, with a first-shift start time of 7:00 A.M. Pay is $21.00–$25.00 per hour depending on shift and schedule differential, with schedule-specific pay scales that increase by year of service.

Requirements

Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights, frequently for outbound work.
Ability to frequently move merchandise and prepare products for store deliveries.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
Ability to work continuously in varying hot and cold temperatures, including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments.
Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Select outbound stock efficiently to fulfill orders received from stores.
Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product-handling guidelines.
Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks and back-hauls.
Perform general cleaning duties to meet warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
Participate in warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
Communicate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
Provide input to warehouse management about process improvements.
Inspect products and consult with warehouse management about product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
Perform assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Follow the ergonomic program and established procedures.
Operate equipment according to safety guidelines while performing essential job functions.
Notify management about product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
