About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to manage incoming and outgoing shipments of tires and related inventory. This role involves working closely with various departments, including shipping, sales, pickup & delivery (P&D), and service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating material-handling equipment, assigning tasks to team members, assisting with inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This is a key role within a growing, family-owned company that is a leader in the commercial tire industry.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to lift and move tires and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without assistance.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overtime may be required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to prioritize work and delegate tasks when necessary.
Good interpersonal skills to motivate and lead team members.
Tire or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
Forklift experience a plus (training available if needed).

Responsibilities

Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of tires and related inventory.
Work closely with shipping, sales, pickup & delivery (P&D), and service departments.
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Assign tasks to team members as needed to maintain workflow and efficiency.
Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Foster teamwork and maintain strong communication with coworkers.
Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
