About The Position

S&S Tire, a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer, is seeking to add a Warehouse Associate to their Wholesale Warehouse. The role involves loading, unloading, checking, and tallying tires to and from carriers, as well as selecting, packing, counting, marking, and palletizing tires for customer orders according to a bin locator system. The associate will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy of these processes and may operate equipment such as order pickers and pallet jacks, ensuring all safety guidelines are met. Additional duties include performing required counting, tallying, and marking on inventory control documents, participating in physical inventories, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and policies. S&S Firestone, Inc, headquartered in Lexington, KY, has grown to be one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the country, operating 13 full-service commercial locations, 12 wholesale distribution centers, and 2 Bandag retread facilities across 10 South-Eastern states. Requirements

Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
Good safety record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years)
Valid driver's license - in good standing
Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment
Attention to detail
Commitment to being on time
High School diploma or equivalent

Forklift license is a plus

Responsibilities

Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
Selects, packs, counts, marks, palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system
Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders
May Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties
Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment
Performs required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents
Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories
Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires
Maintain compliance with procedures and policies
