About The Position

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and looking for a hands-on warehouse role where your work directly supports customers who depend on getting the right parts fast? At the Ritter Tech in Clinton Township, MI, our Warehouse Associates keep the operation running — receiving and organizing stock, pulling and packing orders, operating forklifts and pallet movers, assisting walk-in and phone customers with hose and fitting needs, and making sure every order leaves accurately and on time. You will also have the opportunity to assist customers directly, troubleshoot product needs, and grow your knowledge of Parker products through the Parker Learning Institute (PLI). This is a varied, active role with real customer interaction and room to develop. Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists, and shipping documentation.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and Microsoft Office; familiarity with inventory software preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass an MVR driving check.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a warehouse environment (climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping).
  • High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control.
  • Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems.
  • Background in a Parker Store, fluid power distribution, or industrial hose and fittings environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with shipping and receiving — unloading trucks, checking in product, and verifying accuracy against packing lists.
  • Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or predetermined order (type, size, color, etc.).
  • Pull customer orders from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipping using common carriers; verify packing lists for accuracy.
  • Record amounts of items received or distributed in the computerized inventory control system.
  • Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Use company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Assist walk-in and telephone customers with industrial and mobile hose and fitting needs — troubleshooting and recommending the right product solutions.
  • Work alongside the store manager, outside sales team, and manufacturer representatives to serve customers effectively.
  • Upsell support programs and product accessories to expand sales revenues where appropriate.
  • Operate equipment including forklifts and pallet movers safely and as needed throughout the shift.
  • Travel to other Parker Store locations to provide backup support when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Complete Parker Learning Institute (PLI) training courses as assigned to build product knowledge.
