About The Position

Robertson Electric Wholesale is a highly regarded Electrical Distributor in Canada with a history of steady and secure growth. As a proud member of the Sonepar Group, the world's largest privately-held electrical distributor, Robertson Electric Wholesale is expanding and seeking talented individuals to join their dynamic company. The Warehouse Associate will support overall warehouse operations with a primary focus on wire and cable cutting. This role is responsible for accurately cutting, spooling, packing, and preparing wire and cable orders for shipment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. A key function of this position includes operating machinery to spool and cut wire and cable of various sizes and weights to meet customer specifications.

Requirements

1-3 years experience working in a warehouse environment
Perform basic mathematical calculations to complete assigned tasks
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Wire Cutting experience is considered an asset
Prior experience operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts is preferred; however, candidates must be willing to receive training on these machines.

Responsibilities

Wrap, tie, and place material on reels
Sort and place materials on racks
Use and adjust machinery to measure lengths of wire to meet customer specifications
Feed and thread wire and cable through machinery
Complete pre-start safety inspection before using any machinery or equipment
Record count and length information on tags or boxes
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager
