About The Position

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with maintaining production needs in the manufacturing plant. The associate may be assigned to numerous roles in the facility including physical picking and pulling material for assembly builders, various quality inspection duties, verify and direct all inbound shipments and product, confirm quantities and condition of product, and record received product in computer system and/or through an RF device. The associate must work in team environment, be a self-motivator with high integrity, and meet required Quality standards in production. The associate must be familiar with safely operating various types of material handling equipment. The associate must be diligent with filling out clear and concise information on paperwork and Quality records. Efficiently process orders in timely fashion with attention to detail in regards to parts pulling and allocation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of operating forklift truck
  • Computer experience preferred
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects
  • Ability to handle and lift 50 pounds maximum; bending and stretching
  • Ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Understanding of blueprints reading is preferred
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights or measures of items from incoming shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, Invoices, Packing Lists or other records
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments
  • Reject damaged items and record shortages where applicable
  • Address damages or shortages to the Manager for proper routing
  • Operate fork truck or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from one staging area to another location
  • Receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment
  • Stage goods for stocking by warehouse zones
  • Handle paperwork involved in order receipts and may use hand-held scanners to read bar codes on incoming products or by hand-entering this information into computers
  • Fulfill general production requirements through direction of Inventory Control Supervisor by maintaining various needs in the manufacturing plant.
  • Perform other related duties as required
