About The Position

The Warehouse Associate - Corrugate (Forklift Operator) is responsible for operating a forklift to move, store, and organize materials and products within the warehouse. This role includes loading and unloading shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. The forklift operator will play a key role in the efficiency of warehouse operations and the timely flow of goods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid forklift certification required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory systems, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping labels, and basic documentation.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations related to forklift operation and material handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good spatial awareness and ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset for identifying and resolving inventory or equipment issues.
  • Dependability and time management to meet deadlines and maintain flow of goods.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to fifty (50) lbs. regularly and standing, bending, or walking for long periods.
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to pass a drug test if required by company policy.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and care.
  • Organize and store corrugate materials in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Verify received materials against shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Support inventory management by accurately scanning, labeling, and documenting material movements.
  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment daily and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment including removing debris and managing waste.
  • Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with team members, warehouse supervisors, and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Other tasks, as assigned.
