About The Position

This role requires good mental abilities and attitude to solve problems and maintain customer service standards. The associate will need to plan and prioritize, problem-solve, and multi-task as necessary to meet customer demand in a fast-paced environment. Key functions include using a hand-held RF scanner and familiarity with WMS, loading and unloading trucks, palletizing products and materials using various handling equipment, verifying shipment accuracy, recording discrepancies or damage, labeling goods, and moving them to appropriate storage areas. The role also involves assembling containers/crates or skids, stretch wrapping for put-away, operating material-handling tools (pallet jack, reach lift truck, walkie rider, double pallet jack), picking, labeling, and packing orders using scanning technology, assisting with cycle counts using radio frequency technology, and performing general warehouse housekeeping and other required duties. Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members and cross-functional teams is also essential.

Requirements

• High School and/or equivalent years of experience
• 0 or more years of applicable experience
• Effective time management in order to meet dynamic goals and deadlines
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees
• Operate standard business equipment, including PC, phone, calculator, etc.
• Operate handheld scanner and associated equipment
• Operate specialized computer hardware and software including (but not limited to) Warehouse Management System, Item Database, Yard Management System, etc.
• Ability to be certified in forklift, motorized pallet jack, and cardboard baler use
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and move freely around the facility
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to read and understand English

Nice To Haves

• Training in use of forklift and motorized pallet jack
• 2 or more years of applicable experience
• Experience with PKMS Warehouse Management System
• Manufacturing, Warehouse, Logistics, Parcel/Shipping industry experience

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, and palletize products and material using a variety of material-handling equipment
• Verify accuracy of shipment and record any discrepancies and/or damage.
• Label and take goods to appropriate storage area using material-handling equipment
• Assemble containers/crates or skids and stretch wrap to complete put away.
• Operate a variety of material-handling tool including pallet jack, reach lift truck, walkie rider and double pallet jack.
• Pick, label and pack orders using scanning technology
• Assist with cycle counts using radio frequency technology
• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and any other duties as required
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally
