About The Position
The Order Picker will retrieve stock to fill customer orders and transport items to the shipping desk for packing.
Requirements
- Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.
- Strong reading and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in warehouse operations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receives orders from the order desk and retrieves goods from warehouse.
- Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.
- Delivers materials to packing desk for packing and updates computer ordering system.
- Uses an order-picker truck, cherry pickers, pallet jacks to pull orders when needed.
- Follows safety rules for warehouse when picking an order.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Safely operate equipment and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
