About The Position

American Tire Distributors (ATD) is seeking a Warehouse Associate for their Regional Distribution Center. As the nation's premier tire distributor, ATD's coast-to-coast distribution network provides approximately 80,000 customers across the U.S. and Canada with rapid and frequent delivery of high quality tires, custom wheels and shop supplies. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient operation of the distribution center, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely loading/unloading of products.

  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing and picking material to fill orders.
  • Loading and unloading product on delivery trailers/containers.
  • Maintaining, handling, and moving physical inventory within the RDC.
  • Keeping the facility organized by physical alignment and allowing sufficient space for overflow.
  • Checking all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy.
  • Performing periodic facilities maintenance and/or custodial/housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning the loading dock and area surrounding the building.
  • Keeping floors clear of debris.
  • Assisting in daily shift closures.
  • Arranging RDC stock by product line and physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including handling and preparing paperwork as needed.
  • Physically moving and lifting products weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Staging, counting, and systematically putting away inventory using powered industrial equipment.
  • Staging products for outbound loading.
  • Handling all units with care.
  • Reporting overages and shortages to the Lead Person/Operations Supervisor.
  • Submitting regular reports of damaged and defective products.
  • Safely operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, while adhering to safety standards.
  • Verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in quantity, size, and type.
  • Informing management of inventory and supply shortages.
  • Assisting with periodic inventory counts.
