About The Position

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the proper location and maintaining correct records of all items in the warehouse, staging, or designated storage areas. This role involves storing, retrieving, and delivering required parts and material to the appropriate department. The associate will operate a forklift or other material handling equipment and is expected to furnish their own hand tools. A key part of the role includes the ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets, use various measuring devices, calculate weights and conversions, and operate computer terminals. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is also a responsibility. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Ability to perform work for a minimum of ten hours.
Ability to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands.
Ability to lift 35 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
Organizational skills regarding the setup of different layouts of the warehouse.
Ability to stay on task to complete and meet Warehouse Manager's expectations.
Possesses patience and can perform bin audits as required.
Can problem solve if there are any problems locating material.
Able to communicate issues when they arise to ensure a timely solution.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, routing sheets.
Ability to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, measuring devices.
Ability to figure gross, net, and legal weights, and convert to cubic measurements.
Ability to operate hand-held and stationary computer terminals.
Ability to perform SPC as required.

Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned.
Set up different layouts of the warehouse.
Stay on task to complete and meet Warehouse Manager's expectations.
Perform bin audits as required.
Problem solve if there are any problems locating material.
Communicate issues when they arise to ensure a timely solution.
