About The Position

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is a construction materials distribution company serving commercial and residential construction markets in the United States and Canada. Together with Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), it provides construction and architectural products and services. The organization has more than 8,000 team members and emphasizes operational excellence, innovation, employee development, and customer service. Warehouse Associates support warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, moving, and loading materials. The role includes assisting warehouse customers, maintaining product knowledge, keeping the warehouse orderly and safe, participating in inventories and required training, and performing minor building maintenance when needed. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The position reports to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training.
Building supply warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping, and manipulation.
Occasional operation of a forklift or similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying approximately 100 pounds using proper lifting procedures.
Additional physical requirements may apply as duties are assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide service to customers entering the warehouse and maintain a strong customer focus.
Maintain knowledge of products, including their identification, weight, and size.
Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
Receive, organize, and move incoming materials, and load outgoing materials.
Allocate materials to their correct locations and maintain an orderly warehouse.
Maintain packing specifications and prepare suitable skids and pallets.
Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Follow safety protocols and OSHA requirements, use proper lifting techniques, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
Attend and participate in required company training programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
