About The Position

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Seasonal Warehouse Associates. This role is crucial to supporting America's food distribution system. Springfield, OH 45504. We have multiple shifts available, including Day, Swing, and Night shifts, with various roles such as Stockers, Forklift Operators, Order Selectors, and Freezer Selectors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
  • Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as Forklift operation
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Stand-up forklift experience required (for Forklift Operator and Freezer Forklift Operator roles)

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
  • No experience required for Stocker positions (training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Move and track all inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse.
  • Offload, stock, select, and replenish products.
  • Receive all inbound merchandise and locate the proper pick location.
  • Restock order pick and flow lines to prepare the warehouse for order selection.
  • Ensure placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine or special demands.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in areas such as balers, aisles, racking, floors, and door pits.
  • Transfer merchandise from the receiving area to its appropriate location.
  • Consolidate merchandise into picking containers as necessary.
  • Pack products securely in cartons and totes.
  • Ensure application of shipping ID and mark cartons/totes with truck run and stop number.
  • Ensure safe and efficient movement and tracking of inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse.
  • Maintain inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.
  • Pull orders according to sequencing on delivery route/run list.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Perform end-of-shift tasks such as charging power equipment and verifying completed work.
  • Maintain an orderly workstation and return supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
  • Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
