About The Position
Wesco is hiring a Yard Operations Associate to support efficient operations of one or multiple yards. The position may involve operating equipment, loading and unloading products, and carrying out standard receiving and shipping processes. Wesco provides training in distribution and supply chain techniques, along with opportunities for career development. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- Ability to walk long distances throughout the day.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- One year of warehouse operations experience preferred.
- Equipment operations, warehouse, and customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide spotting duties for equipment operators.
- Perform rigging and cribbing of materials.
- Inspect equipment used each day.
- Receive, count, and record shipment data in the system.
- Prepare packages and merchandise for storage and delivery.
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Support efficient yard operations, including loading and unloading products and standard receiving and shipping processes.
