Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid drivers license, clean driving record, Medical DOT Card.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, good math, communication and reading skills.
  • Ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently to meet assigned project deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a repetitive and ongoing basis.
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time and taking breaks in expected time frames.
  • Must have valid, unexpired, Medical DOT Card.
  • Must be able to drive professionally, must hold valid, unexpired drivers license.
  • Must have a clean driving record/MVR.
  • Adaptability / flexibility / willing to change & adjust with business conditions.
  • Coachable & actively participates in coaching process.
  • Team player, Multi-tasker.
  • Works with a sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

  • Safe driving and forklift operator courses desirable.
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and clerical warehouse duties such as the picking, cutting wire, assembling wire reels, receiving materials, Inventory control functions and shipping of materials.
  • Responsible for daily operations requirements set forth on operations responsibility list.
  • May be used as a back up driver.
  • Reports to the Operations Manager on a regular basis ensuring the completion of all operational responsibilities for hub meeting all deadlines.
  • Complete tasks assigned by assigned Supervisor(s).
  • Move material in a safe manner, manually or by using forklift, pallet jack, handcart or another device.
  • Accurately, counts, checks, prepare, and records items being shipped.
  • Assembles, packages, labels, stacks, palletizes, cuts wire and routes material for safe delivery or storage.
  • Respond to calls from internal customers.
  • Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Acquires and maintains current knowledge of GCE policies and procedures, general product knowledge participates in training, and attends meetings as requested.
  • Acts in helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and co-workers.
  • Participates in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must acquire a working knowledge of the Eclipse software support system.
