We are looking for a hard-working and self-motivated individual to support the Warehouse Department in Shipping. The person in this role is responsible for shipping customer orders per sales order requirements. The candidate will ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency for “best in class” customer service. The ideal candidate is responsible, has excellent attention to detail, and has a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred)
  • At least six (6) months of proven work experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing or distribution
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Possesses strong attention to detail
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Works well on a team or independently
  • Able to prioritize day-to-day tasks
  • Employee will be required to wear the provided PPE per the role requirements
  • Follow site safety and any department specific protocols
  • Report safety hazards or potential safety hazards to reporting Supervisor
  • Attend company safety meetings

Responsibilities

  • Assembles containers, crates, and skids, packing goods to be shipped including attachments and documentation, when necessary
  • Determines method of shipments, prepare bills of lading, and maintain internal shipping documentation
  • Ensures security and good functioning of equipment
  • Restock shipping supplies, and advise when supplies are needed
  • Adheres to all warehousing, material handling, and shipping compliance requirements
  • Ensures safety and efficient productivity by maintaining cleanliness and organization of shipping and staging areas
  • Maintains and supports federal, state, local, and company standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security
  • Manages stock control and reconciles data using the company’s ERP system, Epicor
  • Performs additional tasks that may be assigned by management
