About The Position

The receiving associate is responsible for physically and systematically processing all deliveries. This role involves overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, handling and moving materials, completing receiving documentation, and ensuring safety compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience and ability to pass Bitzer certification.
• Must be able to stand on feet for at least 10 hours/day.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role, particularly with handling large and heavy materials.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic Math knowledge.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training in material handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and are in good condition.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials in designated indoor and outdoor areas.
• Participate in yearly Physical Inventory.
• Safely handle and move large, heavy pipes and plates using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including updating inventory systems.
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.
