About The Position

This is an entry-level position in the metal finishing industry, where you will learn to prepare customer parts for the metal finishing process. You will be responsible for securely attaching parts to specialized racks before plating and removing them after processing. This role is crucial for ensuring product quality, as proper racking protects parts throughout production and ensures timely delivery to customers. In addition to racking, you will also inspect, count, package, and prepare customer parts, while supporting overall production in the facility. No prior metal finishing experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. This position offers a clear path for career advancement within the company, with opportunities to move into roles such as Lead, Plating, Maintenance, Chemical Lab, Quality, Shipping, and Supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read an analog clock and tape measure.
  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, and production software.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, production, shipping, or machine operation experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Count and verify customer parts before processing.
  • Rack customer parts according to work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Inspect parts for quality, damage, and accuracy.
  • Remove completed parts from racks after processing.
  • Package finished products for shipment.
  • Complete production paperwork accurately.
  • Follow established production procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
  • Meet established production and quality expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
