Overview The Outbound Freight Processor is responsible for processing all outbound freight that is not branch related, including checking and counting products to ensure shipment accuracy. The Outbound Freight Processor is responsible to ensure that all products are properly labeled, packaged, and palletized for shipments. Shipments will consist of small parcels up to multiple pallets. All products shipped must be expeditiously processed in the Chadwell Supply computer operating system. Daily work schedules vary according to business transactions and customer needs.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age.
Good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb steps and ladders.
Ability to bend, stoop, and carry products up steps, stairs, and down ramps and walkways.
Exceptional computer literacy and experience.
High School Diploma, GED or specified education such as an AS, BA, etc.

Responsibilities

Processing all outbound freight that is not branch related, including checking and counting products to ensure shipment accuracy.
Ensuring that all products are properly labeled, packaged, and palletized for shipments.
Expeditiously processing all products shipped in the Chadwell Supply computer operating system.
Serving as the primary point of contact between the Chadwell Distribution Center, Inside Sales Department, and the Customer Service Department.
Accurately recording and tracking all outbound freight shipments in the Chadwell Supply computer operating system.
Working with management on outbound freight process changes as needed.
Communicating with vendors, freight companies, and Distribution Center Inventory Control department regarding discrepancies, damages, and claims from the shipping processes.
Preparing shipping documents and processing shipments via FedEx, common carrier, or other transportation provider.
Monitoring outbound freight report/will call orders to ensure all tickets are properly entered through SalesPad.
Properly packing, checking, labeling, and completing outbound freight tickets to be shipped out.
Comparing carrier costs by actively utilizing Starship program to ensure the best outbound freight shipping costs.
Handling all will call customer processes, including assisting with customer will call pick-ups, providing assistance for placing orders, and processing payment information if necessary.
Processing all will call COD orders.
Assisting the Purchasing Department with promotional items.
