About The Position

This is a Lead position within the Logistics department, responsible for overseeing assembly line operations and ensuring adherence to warehouse procedures. The role involves training team members, supporting warehouse management, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. While a lead role, it does not include disciplinary authority. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, 3 years of warehouse manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to become a certified forklift operator. The job involves performing transactions in the LISA WMS, managing work orders, and contributing to inventory management and cycle counting. The role also acts as a backup to other warehouse leads and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education.
  • 3 years of work experience in a warehouse manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to become a certified forklift operator.
  • Proficiency in LISA Warehouse Management System.
  • Ability to count, add, subtract and multiply.
  • Ability to read numbers and labels.
  • Safe operation of equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend packing lists, pick orders, transfer sheets, change of location sheets, and other paperwork.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Communication skills, oral and written.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions regarding workflow.
  • Closed shoe wear and wear assigned PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Train new Team Members and cross-train existing Team Members in LISA WMS.
  • Lead others, including seasonal temporary workers.
  • Support Warehouse Management in all functions and procedures.
  • Ensure Team Members follow Warehouse procedures.
  • Perform transactions in LISA across all warehouse procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment through personal actions and identifying/reporting safety concerns, faulty equipment, rack damage, and other hazards to the supervisor.
  • Perform repack/rework assignments at an acceptable rate.
  • Understand work instructions and set up the assembly line accordingly.
  • Verify work orders are being done properly according to work instructions.
  • Keep track of work hours for each job.
  • Ensure proper material is in the work area.
  • Clear work area of loose wood and plastic; sweep work area as needed.
  • Inventory product as needed. Label, sort, wrap and tie product.
  • Perform cycle counting.
  • Act as a backup to other warehouse leads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
