About The Position

Maintains a safe working environment while supporting the operation through effective warehousing and distribution activities.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, etc.)
• Effective communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivation and ability to work with people
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, and wet environments
• Minimum of 6 months warehouse/distribution experience
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Lockout/Tag out preferred
• Able to operate Crown forklift preferred
• Able to operate Crown pallet jack preferred
• Basic warehouse management system experience
• Experience working with an AS400 based RF inventory system or other WMS systems

Responsibilities

• Understands and complies with safe work practices and procedures so as to create and maintain a safe working environment.
• Understands and complies with all Joseph’s and USDA quality procedures and regulations to ensure we provide safe and top-quality product to consumers.
• Performs shipping and receiving duties.
• Performs order selection activities.
• Operates Crown forklifts and pallet jacks in order to transport goods.
• Performs inventory control activities including cycle counts and consistent inventory checks.
• Maintains high housekeeping standards.
• Performs daily quality checks on equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
