About The Position

Reporting to the Distribution Area Manager, the Warehouse Associate II is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations, which involves receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. This role performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems/WMS involved in the receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. The associate also performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. This position coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in the assigned distribution area, and maintains compliance with relevant local, country, and international guidelines. The role may have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes. This position is part of the Shipping & Receiving department located in Romeoville and will be on-site.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior distribution experience preferred.
  • Internal applicants must not be on an active final warning.
  • Internal applicant must have been in current position for at least six months.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick items accurately to customer orders.
  • Escalate inventory inaccuracies to inventory control team.
  • Restock supplies as needed.
  • Pack quality products according to standard work and regulation set by compliance department, ensuring quality product is safely delivered to customer.
  • Pack hazardous and non-hazardous orders according to pick ticket instructions.
  • Audit and inspect orders before staging and shipping. Audits include checking for proper labeling and verifying that the documents match the cartons packed.
  • Escalate inventory inaccuracies to inventory control.
  • Investigate aged and missing orders.
