About The Position

The Associate II of Material Handling is responsible for ensuring orderly movement of raw material and or finished goods. They also record and maintain accurate inventory records for either raw material and or finished goods. Material Handling uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry, up to 50 pounds
Comfort with heights up to 30 ft
Ability to follow direction and change priorities
Good verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus

Responsibilities

Performs visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials for visible damages.
Uses PIT to move material on a timely basis consistent with production requirements.
Records movement of material in ERP system.
Maintains housekeeping, stage raw and or finish goods in inventory location.
Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
