About The Position

HOM Furniture is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join our team. This role is responsible for moving furniture safely and efficiently, including unpacking, assembling, and preparing it for transport. The associate will also inspect furniture for damage to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

No experience necessary. Job Training will be provided.
High physical demands can be required. The employee is regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time.
The employee can be expected to lift, push, and pull up to 150 pounds individually and up to 300 pounds as a part of a team.
Occasionally, The employee will be required to ascend and descend ladders and stairs in a safe manner.
May be required to work safely from heights when necessary.
The employee must adhere to safe lifting techniques, follow proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participate in the departmental stretching program, and maintain an overall safe working environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Moving furniture in a timely and safe manner.
Unpackaging, assembling, and preparing furniture for transport on HOM Furniture delivery trucks and in customer vehicles.
Inspecting furniture for damage and flaws to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
