About The Position
Priority Wire and Cable is seeking self-motivated individuals to join their warehouse team. These positions offer overtime, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional and personal growth. The role involves working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, handling wire and cable orders, and utilizing technology for order processing. Safety is a priority, with provided PPE and regular safety meetings. The environment includes moving machinery and can experience high temperatures and noise levels. A relaxed dress code is in place, with required safety footwear.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
- Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work.
- Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, with attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Wire & Cable experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate cutting equipment to process wire and cable orders for shipping.
- Use technology such as RF scanners, iPads, and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders for shipping.
- Assist customers with local will-call orders.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport reels, pallets, and packages.
- Ship and receive truck deliveries.
- Work at a fast pace and be flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Lift up to 80 lbs.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Use sit-down forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to move product within the facility.
