About The Position

AKHIRE is currently recruiting for a full-time Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator position in Fairbanks, AK. The role involves spending most of the day using a forklift to offload product and organize the outside yard for outgoing trucks. The shift is Monday to Friday, 5 AM to 4:30 PM, with a pay of $22 per hour DOE plus overtime.

Requirements

• Must be able to push or pull heavy loads (up to 200 pounds)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the day.
• Drug Screen and Background Check required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift Certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles such as trucks, vans, flat beds trucks, box trucks or tractor-trailers.
• Mark incoming freight appropriately.
• Move freight around yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
• Complete freight paperwork accurately and timely.
• Ensure that freight is loaded, unloaded, palatalized and marked appropriately.
• Assist customers as necessary.
• Consistently follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
