About The Position

This role supports American Health Packaging, a Cencora business that provides pharmaceutical packaging services in the United States. It is the third level of warehouse associate at AHP before the Lead level. The position handles warehouse operations including receiving, picking and staging customer orders, returns, shipping, inventory organization and control, and training other associates. Work may include controlled-substance fulfillment in a cage, vault, or refrigerated environment, and operating powered material-handling equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime may be required. The listed pay is $24 per hour, and the posting offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field.
Ability to read and understand English to compare and read product descriptions, names, and shelf labels.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough overall understanding of distribution center workflow and ability to work with minimal guidance.
Ability to maintain a clean work area to protect merchandise and help prevent work-related injuries.
Ability to use good judgment when carrying out detailed instructions.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
Teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability and certification to operate power equipment at high levels, including reach trucks, picker machines, and forklifts, and comply with safety standards and OSHA requirements.
May require hazmat training certification.
Ability to maintain appropriate attendance standards.
Ability to train and assist associates as needed.
Ability to operate material-handling equipment, including reach trucks, picker machines, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse duties such as receiving, picking and staging customer orders, processing returns, shipping, and organizing, managing, and controlling inventory.
Compare received merchandise with shipment records, inspect it, and report discrepancies or obvious defects.
Stock shelves and ensure materials are placed in designated areas.
Use radio-frequency (RF) devices for picking, packing, and other inventory tasks.
Assemble customer orders by retrieving items from shelves, placing them in totes, and verifying quantities and customer specifications.
Enter orders, returns, and related information into the computer system.
Inspect returned items and return merchandise to the appropriate warehouse shelf.
Complete daily inventory counts accurately and research discrepancies.
Assist with inventory procedures as requested.
Perform controlled-substance picking, stocking, replenishment, and order fulfillment in a cage, vault, or refrigerated environment as needed.
Use forklifts, reach trucks, and other motorized equipment to move inventory.
Train new associates in warehouse functions and provide mentorship and guidance to warehouse associates.
Provide backup lead duties, such as waiving customer orders and researching and resolving discrepancies.
Perform related duties as assigned.
