About The Position

Global Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator to fill customer orders and support warehouse operations. The role operates a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment, uses an RF scanner to identify products, and moves, gathers, and distributes merchandise safely and efficiently. The position also involves assembling customer orders for packing or shipping, assisting with receiving, inventory, and returns, and assembling lockers and cabinets using hand tools. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment is required.
• At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment is required.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner is required.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and drawings to facilitate assembly.
• Ability to independently lift products weighing up to 75 lbs continuously in a productive environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously for the full workday in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate equipment to move products efficiently and safely.
• Use an RF scanner to identify products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts according to the route to the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist the Receiving Department with unloading newly arrived merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist the inventory and returns departments with day-to-day operations.
• Assemble component parts to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air, and electrical hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
