DC General Warehouse Associate / Equipment Operator (7PM Start – $22.50/hr + Potential Bonus)
About The Position
Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator. If you have familiarity and experience in multiple core warehouse functions, coupled with a commitment to phenomenal customer service, this is the position for you! This position will also include assisting in overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the department, meeting daily, weekly, and monthly department goals, resolving day-to-day operational issues, and training and motivating subordinates to improve current performance. You will cultivate an environment of continuous improvement by finding opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, quality, and/or reduce costs while championing related initiatives. You will work with the team to ensure the department is clean, organized, secure, and safe at all times. Other duties as assigned. Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
Requirements
- 3 years plus warehouse experience
- Has proven the ability to train others
- Fully proficient in multiple core warehouse functions
- Proven understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Product knowledge
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Strong organization skills and leadership qualities to take and give team direction
Nice To Haves
- A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
Responsibilities
