About The Position

The Warehouse Associate Driver is responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to various locations, while also performing a range of warehouse tasks. This role ensures customer service excellence through accurate and timely order fulfillment and delivery. The position requires adherence to all safety regulations, accurate paperwork completion, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse. Key responsibilities include driving for deliveries, coordinating routes, verifying deliveries with customers, loading and unloading trucks, and performing pre- and post-trip inspections. Warehouse duties involve receiving and putting away stock, pulling, packing, staging, and shipping orders, assisting customers with orders and returns, and operating handheld scanners for inventory management. The role also supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory assistance. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, participating in training, working overtime as assigned, and cooperating with colleagues are also essential aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement, as needed
  • 1 year of delivery truck driving experience
  • 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
  • Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy
  • Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferred
  • Proficient in computer and inventory systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
  • Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes
  • Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
  • Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
  • Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession
  • Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections
  • Maintain truck maintenance records
  • Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles
  • Verify, receive, and put away incoming stock
  • Pull, pack, stage, and ship outgoing orders and transfers
  • Assist customers with orders, as needed
  • Assist customers in processing returns of warranty items and stock items
  • Operate handheld scanners to receive, move, and track inventory in and out of the facility
  • Assist management with inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and common areas to ensure an orderly and safe work environment
  • Participate in after-hours training classes
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable physical attendance
