About The Position

This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. The associate will be responsible for ensuring truck safety, managing incoming orders, preparing orders for delivery or pickup, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires operating a forklift, assisting with shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The role also emphasizes strong communication, adherence to safety guidelines, and proficiency in computerized systems.

Requirements

  • CDL licensed driver.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • General inventory knowledge, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operates forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and as a team player.
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to work Overtime if necessary.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 yrs. Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform mandatory truck safety checks and maintain records.
  • Receive and process incoming orders with thorough documentation.
  • Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Determine the status of an order when requested.
  • Follow special instructions pertaining to individual orders.
  • Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks, and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Assist with order expediting and completing UPS shipments.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
  • Process returns accurately.
  • Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace.
  • Attend product knowledge meetings as required by management.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Present a neat and professional image.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
