About The Position

Winter Environmental is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate / DOT Driver to support our field operations from our Atlanta-area warehouse. This is a hands-on position combining warehouse, equipment, and driving responsibilities. The successful candidate will prepare and stage equipment for projects, maintain an organized warehouse and yard, and safely transport equipment and materials to project sites using company box trucks and pickup trucks with equipment trailers. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, understands how to safely transport construction equipment, and recognizes the importance of getting field teams the right equipment and materials when they need them. Occasional travel and early morning or after-hours deliveries may be required based on project needs.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience safely operating pickup trucks, box trucks, and/or similar commercial vehicles.
  • Experience towing equipment or utility trailers.
  • Ability to meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements.
  • Ability to perform required vehicle and trailer inspections.
  • Knowledge of proper load securement practices.
  • Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction equipment and materials.
  • Ability to perform physical warehouse work including lifting, loading, unloading, and organizing equipment.
  • Strong attention to safety, organization, and equipment care.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to respond to changing project needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Previous warehouse, construction, environmental, or equipment experience.
  • Experience operating box trucks.
  • Experience towing equipment trailers with pickup trucks.
  • Experience transporting construction equipment.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • Skid steer experience.
  • Experience with DOT inspections and load securement.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
  • CDL Class A or Class B is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, store, and issue equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
  • Prepare and stage equipment and materials for upcoming projects.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, equipment, and project materials.
  • Deliver and pick up equipment and materials from project sites, vendors, rental companies, and other locations.
  • Safely operate company box trucks and 2500-series pickup trucks.
  • Safely tow equipment and utility trailers.
  • Properly load, balance, and secure equipment and materials for transportation.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections.
  • Complete required DOT documentation and vehicle inspection records.
  • Follow applicable DOT hours-of-service and company driving requirements.
  • Assist with tracking company tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Inspect returned equipment and identify damaged or missing items.
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare equipment for future project use.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, skid steers, and other material-handling equipment as qualified.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and warehouse leadership to support project needs.
  • Follow company safety policies, DOT requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations.
