Warehouse Associate / Counter Sales Support
About The Position
Join State Electric Supply Co. as a Warehouse Associate / Counter Sales Support team member with our Clarksburg, West Virginia branch as we prepare to relocate to Fairmont, WV! This is primarily a Warehouse Associate position with additional responsibility for supporting the sales counter as needed. Most of your time will be spent receiving, organizing, picking, and preparing products, while also stepping in to assist customers, process orders, and support counter operations when needed. This role allows you to build strong warehouse and product knowledge while also gaining exposure to the customer-facing side of the branch.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to report to the Clarksburg, West Virginia branch for training and regular work until the new Fairmont facility is fully open. This assignment may continue for several months, after which the position is expected to transition to Fairmont.
- Ability and willingness to complete training to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to safely load, unload, move, and organize products throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to process orders and transactions accurately.
- Friendly, professional communication skills.
- A customer-focused mindset and willingness to help when counter support is needed.
- Dependability, organization, and flexibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Interest in learning State Electric products, processes, and the electrical distribution industry.

- Previous warehouse, customer service, or sales experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving products and materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Check in merchandise and verify products against shipping documentation.
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established organization and product codes.
- Pick and prepare products for customer orders, shipment, or pickup.
- Prepare parcels and materials for mailing or delivery.
- Pull and cut wire to specified lengths as needed.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment after completing required training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Greet customers and help identify their product needs.
- Locate products and provide routine product information.
- Process customer orders and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Assist with customer requests by phone, email, or in person.
- Work with sales teammates to help ensure orders are prepared accurately and customers receive timely service.
- Continue developing product knowledge to provide more effective customer support.
