About The Position

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. The Warehouse Associate will verify merchandise received, stock shelves, rotate stock, pack prescriptions, manage mail manifests, sort prescriptions, print tote manifests, stage totes, perform cycle counts, and maintain a clean work area. The position requires compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, and safety rules as defined by State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulations. Overtime and participation in physical inventory may be necessary.

Requirements

  • Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires a minimum of one (1) year of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Ability to operate equipment at high levels (20’-40’) such as reach truck, picker machine, forklift, etc.
  • Ability to help train and assist associates when needed.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem solving skills.
  • Maintain appropriate attendance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies merchandise received against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and any obvious damages.
  • Stocks shelves with various types of merchandise.
  • Rotates stock so that newly-received items can be used last.
  • Completes patient order by placing prescriptions and associated paperwork into a shipping bag through the use of a computer and automated bagger.
  • Scans and makes US mail or UPS (if overnight delivery) ready completed/packed mail order prescriptions.
  • Assists the staging of prescriptions to be sorted into identified totes using an automated sorter.
  • Prints tote manifest documentation for each filled/closed tote and prepare nightly driver manifest for each truck line picking up totes from Central Fill.
  • Loads finished totes to designated areas for pickup.
  • Performs daily cycle counts as directed by the shift supervisor and researches discrepancies.
  • Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules as defined by State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulations.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
