About The Position

The WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEE BACKUP DRIVER works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Leader. This role is responsible for unloading and/or loading trucks, as well as picking/pulling and/or putting away tires/products. The company's vision is to be the leading and most trusted provider of tires and services.

Requirements

  • Possess a friendly, helpful, positive attitude.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate safely a forklift, tire cart, pallet jack and order picker.
  • Ability to learn and utilize scanning devices to accurately confirm tire and shipment.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled (temperatures can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet job requirements of Route Truck Driver I.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to read/understand U.S. Highway traffic signs and signals.
  • Two years’ work experience.
  • Class C license required.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading semi-trailers and/or assisting the loader for semi-trailers and route trucks.
  • Using equipment and tools provided on a daily basis accurately and safely to verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products.
  • Ensuring tires/products are in designated locations with tags out and restocked as needed.
  • Working safely at all times, including the proper usage of equipment seatbelts and order picker harnesses.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Loading multi-warehouse transfer trucks.
  • Performing all job duties and responsibilities of Route Truck Driver I.
  • Supporting Warehouse Manager’s decisions and company goals.
  • Receiving loads through product number verification and check-in.
  • Performing Amazon/Walmart pulling/picking and shipping.
  • Loading all route trucks.
  • Training new warehouse employees.
  • Using MaddenCo.
  • Performing other duties as appropriate and assigned.
  • Supporting company goals and upholding K&M Values.
