This full-time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift position is essential to our warehouse operations. The Company Driver will operate a straight truck to support our customer base. When not driving, they will assist with warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and order picking. They will also provide coverage for our fleet of 53' tractor-trailers as needed. This role requires knowledge of warehouse and DOT concepts, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL Operator’s License
• 1-3 years previous driving experience (preferably 100,000 miles)
• Able to pass both pre-employment and random drug tests as required by the DOT
• Able to pass driving history and background check process
• Possess a Federal Medical Card
• 1-year previous warehouse experience
• 1-year previous stand-up forklift experience
• High degree of attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. frequently
• Comfortable with exposure to environmental conditions (e.g. heat/cold; noise and dust)
• Comfortable with heights (25’-30’)

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck on a routine basis to support customer base.
• Support warehouse operations through shipping and receiving when not scheduled to drive.
• Perform order picking when not scheduled to drive.
• Serve as coverage for current fleet operating 53' tractor-trailers as needed.
• Inspect truck before and after trips and complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs).
• Assist customers with verifying quantities and products delivered versus ship tickets.
• Collect payment for goods delivered.
• Maintain driver logs according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Operate within applicable safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper equipment cleanliness is maintained.
• Maintain CDL and clean driving record per DOT and company rules and regulations.
• Uphold and comply with company policies.
• Operate different types of forklifts including stand-up, and order picker (cherry picker/dock stocker).
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and product movement.
• Receive, pick and/or transport product throughout warehouse.
• Stack, palletize, tote, and/or store product in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain shipping, receiving and inventory records through proper documentation.
• Maintain organization and warehouse cleanliness.
• Responsible for all warehouse safety protocols including utilizing PPE and performing safety checks on all powered equipment.
