About The Position

The Warehouse Associate supports the team and our customers by accurately and safely receiving/pulling orders in a fast-paced environment. Our Backup Drivers will fill in as needed making safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations. Requirements

  • To be at least 21 years old.
  • A valid driver's license (Commercial Driver’s License, CDL, if applicable), preferably with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to maneuver heavy objects, some weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Prior forklift experience.
  • Follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in distribution, general labor or warehousing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Assists in loading the delivery truck.
  • Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.
  • Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
  • Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
  • Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are are delivered on time.
  • Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.
  • Collect payments and accurately document delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.
  • Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
