About The Position

Emser Tile LLC, a nation-wide industry leader in the distribution of high-quality ceramic tile and natural stone, seeks an experienced Warehouse Associate 3 (Picker). Our 50-plus-year history of unprecedented and continuous growth has created immediate opportunities for professionals. This position is located at our local Distribution Center.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a Picking position
• Ability to work in Distribution Center environment (cold in the winter, hot in the summer)
• Ability to work in a loud work environment
• Ability to lift weight up to 100+ pounds
• Ability to see and hear
• Ability to use hands and arms
• Ability to work on a computer for long periods of time
• Ability to bend and kneel
• Forklift certification required
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of database and query functions
• Outstanding leadership skills to include critical thinking, decision making, and listening
• Employs influence, relationship building, composure, and open communication tactics to build trust with internal and external customers
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels (written/verbal) and with customers

Responsibilities

• Picking all line orders and staging them for shipping
• Picks product and builds a pallet to standard
• Stages product on shipping dock according to shipping schedule
• Utilizes RF Scanner to ensure accuracy of product
• Accurately matches shade numbers through label verification
• Creates a new license plate and properly places it on a pallet
• Utilizes and turns in breakage sheet on a daily basis
• Reads item labels and identifies product type
• Navigates warehouse effectively
• Commits to learning, living, and promoting Emser Tile culture and values
• Works in a busy environment, is highly organized, and goal-oriented
• Is results-driven and customer-focused
• Accurately performs basic math functions (piece to square foot calculations)
