About The Position

This position will be responsible for performing tasks related to warehouse inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, processing incoming inventory, shelving processed inventory, shipping orders from inventory, and performing routine inventory maintenance functions. The role requires the ability to use various warehouse tools and equipment safely, including a computer, tablet, scan gun, pallet jack, baler, and box cutter. The associate must be able to focus on tasks for extended periods, meet performance metrics, and maintain a clean workplace. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. A commitment to the company's mission and values, particularly in fostering literacy and providing excellent customer service, is also important.

Requirements

• Ability to use a computer, tablet, scan gun, and various inventory management programs
• Ability to focus on a single task for extended periods of time
• Consistently exhibits a favorable BPH rate or other performance indicia for at least one (1) department
• Meets departmental KPIs
• Can use a pallet jack, baler, box cutter, conveyors, and other tools in a safe manner
• Can use a computer to check email and utilize the internet
• Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours at a time
• Ability to safely climb step stools and ladders
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift, including reaching, stooping, and bending
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
• Has a strong work ethic and sense of initiative
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
