About The Position

As a CDL Class A Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and transportation operations. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products to their designated destinations while upholding our company's high standards for professionalism, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Clean driving record with a proven track record of safety required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to DOT regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills for verifying order accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with short haul driving preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain commercial vehicles, primarily Class A trucks, in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
  • Safely load and unload product, ensuring it is properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions, weather, and other factors that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including bills of lading, mileage logs, and inspection reports.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions.
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatch and logistics teams, providing updates on the status of deliveries and any unexpected delays.
