About The Position
The Warehouse Assistant works in one to two departments within a distribution center, performing warehousing tasks such as unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking inventory. The role follows established processes and instructions, operates under close supervision, and requires supervisor guidance for non-routine issues. Work output may be subject to detailed checks or review by a senior coworker or supervisor. The position is typically based in a comfortable environment, with regular exposure to conditions that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, including temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes, and repetitive movements such as bending or squatting. No travel is required.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
- Ability to understand written material.
- Basic math skills.

- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
- Fill customer orders using a pick list and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Obtain merchandise from shelves or bins and verify product and quantity accuracy.
- Inspect products for damage and report issues to management.
- Return misplaced products to the proper storage areas.
- Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.
- Perform other warehousing duties as assigned.
