About The Position

Liberty Military Housing is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join their team. This role is responsible for managing and organizing the maintenance warehouse and inventory, as well as troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on appliances and equipment. The ideal candidate will be accurate, efficient, and dedicated to providing exemplary service in line with Liberty Military Housing's quality customer satisfaction standards. Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required (college hours preferred).
  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 80-100 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (MS Word), and inventory software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends in case of an emergency.
  • Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.
  • Beginning level understanding or experience in two or more basic trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, appliance repair.
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • Competent skills regarding the operation of small hand and electrical tools, basic electrical, carpentry, painting and small machinery repair.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and organize the maintenance warehouse and inventory.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to appliances and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company guidelines, OSHA regulations, and applicable health, safety, or environmental laws.
  • Apply understanding or experience in basic trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair.
  • Operate small hand and electrical tools, and perform basic repairs on electrical, carpentry, painting, and small machinery.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, managers, vendors, and residents.
  • Utilize basic computer skills, including operating a mobile device and PC.
  • Receive maintenance inventory from suppliers and distribute materials daily.
  • Work with multiple budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Organize and stock the warehouse with necessary materials for multiple locations.
  • Maintain the overall physical condition of the warehouse through planning new layouts and conducting inspections.
  • Assist with managing warranty repairs/replacements from multiple suppliers.
  • Assist with managing recycling, universal, and hazardous waste collected on site.
