About The Position

This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound materials and equipment within a warehouse environment. Key duties include loading and unloading, identifying, labeling, securing, and moving items between various locations such as loading docks, storage areas, and manufacturing zones. The position also involves recording inventory transactions in the ERP system and preparing materials for transfer, inspection, or shipment while adhering to safety policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or proof of sufficient reading, mathematics, and computer skills to fulfill essential functions.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling processes.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operator experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading inbound and outbound materials and equipment.
  • Identifying, labeling, securing, and moving materials and equipment to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
  • Recording and entering associated inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Preparing materials and equipment for site transfer, inspection and/or shipment using necessary material handling tools and vehicles in accordance with established safety policies.
  • Verifying the condition of inbound/outbound shipments and notifying the receiving clerk of any damage before confirming delivery receipt.
  • Performing check-in and initial inspection of shipments, including checking for damage, comparing to packing lists, and verifying certification documents.
  • Physically routing materials to designated stocking locations, recording bin location and quantity information, and logging data into the ERP system via handheld scanner.
  • Checking the condition of rental units upon receipt and securing them for first inspection via receiving checklist (performing “Layup” procedure).
  • Checking in applicable accessories and components and verifying their condition.
  • Returning completed receiving documents to the rental receiving clerk.
  • Physically picking and staging necessary materials for manufacturing work orders and preparing them for shipment to the manufacturing site.
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturing work order tickets or material request instructions to ensure the appropriate item and quantity are selected.
  • Utilizing the handheld scanning device to ensure the oldest inventory is picked first (FIFO) and that the inventory issue transaction is entered correctly.
  • Participating in 5S, Safety and improvement projects.
  • Performing general maintenance and cleaning of receiving and stocking areas.
  • Assisting with inventory count and reconciliation activities (cycle count and physical count).
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.
