Warehouse Assistant (Summer)
About The Position
Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! This is a summer position for a Warehouse Assistant. The role involves supporting various warehouse and shipping operations, including kitting materials, preparing orders, picking, packing, staging, labeling, and basic shipping activities. The position also includes assisting with loading/unloading, maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness, and performing general warehouse support duties. Safety is a key focus, requiring adherence to all safety guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Accurate documentation and inventory movement are also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or currently enrolled preferred
- No prior experience required (entry-level role)
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Basic computer skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with kitting materials and preparing orders for production or shipment
- Support picking, packing, and staging of finished goods for outbound shipments
- Apply and verify accurate labeling of products, containers, and shipments
- Assist with basic shipping activities, including preparing packages and organizing shipments
- Support loading and unloading of materials, as needed
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and shipping areas
- Follow all safety guidelines when handling materials, equipment, and chemicals
- Assist with inventory movement and staging between warehouse and production
- Accurately complete basic documentation (labels, logs, shipment paperwork)
- Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Perform other general warehouse and shipping support duties as assigned
