About The Position

A fast-growing water filtration distribution and service company is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our Sanford team. This is a hands-on position supporting the Warehouse Manager with daily shipping and receiving, inventory management, order preparation, and equipment staging. We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a warehouse organized, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can be counted on to get the job done accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical warehouse work throughout the workday
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Must successfully complete required background screening

Responsibilities

  • Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments of water filtration systems, parts, components, and service equipment.
  • Receive deliveries and verify products against shipping documentation.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving shipment discrepancies.
  • Package and prepare daily customer and field orders.
  • Process shipments using UPS WorldShip, LTL carriers, and company accounting software.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager, vendors, freight carriers, and field teams as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Organize and properly store filtration products, parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Participate in regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Restock products and maintain designated inventory locations.
  • Help identify inventory shortages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Pull, prepare, and stage equipment for field service technicians and installation crews.
  • Ensure technicians have the correct equipment and materials for scheduled jobs.
  • Receive returned equipment and assist with inspection and restocking.
  • Work with service and warehouse leadership to meet daily scheduling needs.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Properly handle and store water treatment equipment, chemicals, and components.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Help maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
