About The Position

Under direction of the warehouse manager, will oversee, manage and coordinate warehouse activities and production line support staff, to ensure conformance to established procedures in a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • WMS knowledge, preferably ASC Trac
  • ERP knowledge, preferably Macola
  • English skills required, verbal, writing and reading
  • Must be able to be certified to operate department MHE.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Supervising and Training skills.
  • Organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, direct others and work well under pressure
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills including the ability to effectively coach individual team members.
  • Must model and promote the company values and philosophy.
  • 3 plus years of proven work experience in a warehouse leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a production environment a plus.
  • Food Safety and Handling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production work orders are pulled and staged in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain strict inventory control, control of lots, expiration dates and inventory rotation.
  • Plan and perform regular cycle counts.
  • Enforce company safety programs and company policies and issue corrective actions to retrain employees. Provide first response actions for employee injuries.
  • Hire, train, supervise, motivate and develop warehouse staff.
  • Manage schedules and workflow, distributing appropriate workload to minimize overtime.
  • Train and develop each employee to the standards of their job description.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings; suggest, develop, plan and implement new processes.
  • Must be able to fill in for department manager during any period of absence.
  • Must have the ability to step in and run any department in the warehouse.
  • Address inventory requests from throughout the company by any communication means; email, phone, text.
  • Maintain warehouse food safety compliance in accordance with existing standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Maintain organized status of pending tasks and communicate updates to manager.
  • Must adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Must ensure all work areas, pedestrian walkways and warehouse aisles are free from debris and clean at all times.
  • Execution of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Enforce company rules and regulations. Issue disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assist Management team in review weekly punch reports.
  • Supervise daily attendance of warehouse teams.
  • Write reviews for permanent employees.
  • Write timely incident reports, as necessary.
  • Interact with other team members and departments including Production, Purchasing, Packaging, Design, Receiving, Shipping, Compliance, Document Control and Wine Country Gift Baskets.
